London HPHA

The High Performance Hockey Academy will be returning to London for its second year.  After seeing tremendous growth in our athletes over the first year, we are excited to enter our second year with another motivated group.  The academy will once again be delivered by Dwayne Blais (Player Development Consultant for the Washington Capitals of the NHL) along with Max Campbell and Kevin Galerno of Total Package Hockey.

The HPHA runs from October 10th, 2017 through to March 29th, 2018 and offers an opportunity for players in grade 6, 7 and 8 to work on their individual skills with professional hockey skill coaches 3 days a week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday’s from 7:15-8:15AM at the Western Fair Sports Centre. Players will follow a structured curriculum that will cover a variety of individual skills (skating, shooting, puck handling, positional play) in a fun learning environment. Players will receive 2 on-ice testing sessions with reports to help monitor improvements, they will also receive video analysis throughout the year where TPH coaches video and breakdown an individual player’s skill to provide feedback on strengths and areas of improvements.
The HPHA is a great way for players to continue to work on developing their skill throughout the hockey season in a challenging environment with professional coaches focusing on each players individual growth and improvement.
