TPH CAMPS ARE HERE TO HELP ENHANCE YOUR ON-ICE SKILLS

Situational Awareness & GamePlay Camp

This full-day camp is designed to respond to the growing need of teaching players not only the technical skills within the game, but also the various habits, principles, and tactics necessary to be a productive hockey player. As the demand for ‘skill development’ continues to increase, we wanted to shift our focus by providing players with more context surrounding the when, where, and why of various gameplay situations and the details within. This camp will largely use game-play scenarios, with players competing in real-time, to learn and better understand the game beyond just physical skills.

Video sessions will be used to teach various concepts in all 3 zones of the rink. Each day will focus on a different zone and various elements of the game within.

Habits: shoulder checking, pre-scanning, communication, body language, & stick checking, etc.

Tactics: drawing in defenders, deception, angling, puck support, etc.

Principles: position before possession, defending middle ice, positional interchange, movement off the puck, etc.
